For producing the tobacco, for his changing and for his primary processing he has more than 130 year traditions on Szolnok. The story of the firm which can be traced back to the end of the 1860 years, since he and its single plants already existed or they were being built following it, in year 1867, creation of the Indepedent Hungarian tobacco inland revenue.
The Szolnok Tobaccochanging firm received an inspectorate rank in 1890 in the self-determinated Hungarian tobacco inland revenue organism. Fermenting is the comprehensive name for the changes, that make the tobacco, which can be used. In the course of the fermentation, chemistry, microbiological and enzyme processes in the colour of the tobacco leaf, in his fragrance, in his light bulb ability, in his elasticity, his storable, regulated changes are yielded.
Among the different fermenting methods, today already the so-called mechanical fermenting is the accepted one. This does not mean something else, than the treatment of the raw tobacco according to suitable technological orders, that on his row the different constituents in the tobacco substances (carbohydrate, volatile oil, resin, nicotine, mineral etc.) partly decay, they are transformed, they become stable in quantity and in combination.
The preparation of the fermentation process during the mechanical fermenting - the forming of the even moisture content, the removal of the volatile substances, the starting of the substance decompositions because of the tall temperature - occurs quickly and after the treatment the tobacco fermenting may begin. Of course longer time is necessary to getting homogenized of this content, so, because of this the fermented tobaccos only after longer resting are expedient to use.
DOFER Zrt. during processing of the tobacco, taken over the selected dried tobacco substances from the producers, grouping into classes of the raw tobacco (type, break zone, colour, texture quality, nicotine content, etc.), lets them across his modern, mechanical equipments. In the course of an operation of mechanical processing the disk parts of the tobacco leaves we detach from the midship frame and after heat treatment with high-performance presses of 200 kgs weight we wrap it into cartons.
After ten days warmfermentiling process, which happens at least in a place with 20oC , the finished goods get into the container depository. The head vein and the tiny leaf parts arising in the course of the processing and following separate treatments, can be utilized in the tobacco products.
The storage of the tobacco and his realization
The Tobaccoprocessing Corporation can store in his depositories with mechanical loading about 1.500-2.000 tons of finished goods. The storage happens in qualitative classes.
