Story of the Tabán Trafik Corp.

The Tabán Trafik Corporation began wholesale trading activity in Hungary in 1996 with the distribution of the Pannonia cigarette brand.

Between 1996 and 1999 the company distributed only Continental Tobacco products. Gradually satisfying the demands of the market, Taban Trafik opted to supply its customers with all cigarette brands available in Hungary.

Since the third quarter of 2001, significant change has taken place in the cigarette wholesale and distribution system in Hungary. Tabán Trafik rearranged and redrafted its business policy, not only resulting in the sole distribution of products of Continental Tobacco, but also expanding its product profile through distribution of supplementary tobacco and coffee products.

Due to rapid development, nationwide coverage was reached within a short time. Today, eight wholesale branch offices exist to successfully meet demand. From these warehouses the products are distributed by regional representatives to our over 18,000 retail partners.

Recognition of the challenges of commerce drove the direct distribution decision by Taban Trafik leadership. Today, Taban Trafik successfully distributes filter cigarettes, filter cigarillos, MYO-RYO tobacco, filter-cigarette-tubes, pipes, coffee products, chewing gums, and sweets.

Today Tabán Trafik is the only direct-store-delivery distribution company in Hungary, providing permanent weekly supply to more than 18,000 retailers throughout the country via 90+-thermo-delivery vans.

Consumer and retail trade demands are Taban Trafik's first priority, and state-of-the-art Information Technology is utilized to collect data from the 18,000 retailers of Taban Trafik, generating accurate market research of any product.
